Dear burlesquers,
I am writing to ask for your help. Currently I am researching material for my 4th year economics dissertation "The Economics of Burlesque in the UK" due January 2010. Unfortunately, there is no quantitative data available about burlesque in the UK, therefore I must collect it myself.
This is where I could really use your help: would you please fill out one of two short surveys? Each survey consists of 6 quick multiple choice questions, and are available at the following links:
Opinion of Burlesque Business Survey. Note: the term "professional" is used loosely for a UK-based person who receives any amount of monetary compensation for his/her participation in the burlesque industry.
Opinion of Burlesque Audience Member Survey. Please note, this is for a UK-based person who enjoys attending burlesque events.
The surveys are anonymous and the data collected will be aggregated into graphs for the purposes of my dissertation. No-one will see the raw data except me and it will be kept strictly confidential. If you have any questions, please send me an email on: iadornbrook@gmail.com. I would be incredibly grateful if you could forward this message on to other burlesque pros' or audience members, as my sources are limited.
Thank you so much for your help!
