God yes soup. My fave is potato and cheese soup with accidental cayenne.

And I second the slow cooker idea too. I don't eat meat, but Mr FL does, and he says the slow cooker makes delicious meals. And did you know you can make a cake in the slow cooker too?  Very Happy

xx

mmmm slow cooked meat. *drools*

I make a swiss steak in the slow cooker (Crock Pot in the US) that would blow your mind. That is... if you eat meat.

I was reading the other day that fresh ginger tea is meant to heat you up and remove the desire for stodge in the winter.
Going to try it tomorrow

I'm really into making soups at the moment.  Tonight I will be making parsnip, butternut squash and cumin soup.  I like using root veg and blending, then you don't have to add cream to thicken it up at all.

And I love my slow cooker.  It's so convenient to throw in some beef, veg, a nice real ale and stock and then just leave it for the day, and then know you have a really tasty meal to look forward to without any hassle.
