Hello all i have recieved plenty of info back from audience members, now i need the performers opinions. I was offended to find out that most people who don't know what burlesque is think that it oppresses and objectifies women. I'm conducting a study for my uni work that proves that opinion wrong! If your a burlesque performer and proud of it, please fill in my questionnaire-
Neo Burlesque questionnaire 3-
Performers-
Your Name(Optional)-
On Stage name(Optional)-
Question 1)- For someone who doesn’t know what Burlesque is how would you describe it? (What’s it about? What does it mean to you?)
Question 2)- How did you first hear about Burlesque, and how did you get involved in it?
Question 3)- How did you become a burlesque performer?
Question 4)- When you perform how does the audience react to you, and how do their reactions make you feel?
Question 5)- Do you feel that being a burlesque performer empowers you or oppresses you, and why do you feel like this?
Thank you for your time, have a nice day.

An interesting book to read might be Girl Show by A.W. Stencell, ISBN 1-55022-371-2
