The BWI is please to announce that after recent negotiations with Commodore Blair, he has granted us beyond the reaches of the now UK wide smoking ban.
So gentlemen of the forum please be informed that smoking is to be positively encouraged and condoned in your hallowed sanctum.
Yours most graciously,
The BWI Mother.

It's good isn't it. It's probably the only good thing 'Adolf' Blair did in 10 years. |

I may have to invent one.
I think we should ban alcohol consumption in public have you seen what it does to your liver?

I remember those pictures in the papers of the late George Best, taken, at his insistence as a warning to others. They were taken on his last few days alive, really scary.
Think about that tonight Ruby, when you enjoy a Gin & Tonic. I am not being facetious, I'm quite fond of the Merlot, but I do try to limit it. |

The only thing that saddened me about him was that he received a liver that could have saved the lives of several children, not the life of one selfish, self indulgent, self pitying, ungrateful drunk.

I am at one with you on that, but it's not only the famous that abuse such privileges. A while ago The Sunday Times ran a feature on Dr. Christian Barnard, the pioneering heart transplant specialist. In the early years they were still perfecting rejection drugs. All heart recipients that had later died, were post mortemed. In order to establish whether the new heart failed, or for other reasons.
One recipient, a driving school instructor, on a forty a day habit, needed a transplant because his pulmonary artery had furred up and irrepairably damaged his heart. He survived for eighteen months following the transplant. But it didn't stop his forty a day habit.
Says it all. |

This might be my last visit here now as I'm on day 5 of quitting smoking. Well when I say quit I really mean to see how long I can go without one. I have not had a cig in 5 whole days now. I'm am really surprised at myself!
Maybe I will visit here and just breathe in the smoky air every now and again!! |

i adore the smoking ban.
however i realise that is a big distraction that the government are using so we dont notice all the other naughty things they are doing to us.
