Not unduly, speaking for myself. Nothing that could identify me IRL is one there (other than my photo) and one can always set one's profile to private.

No, I'm one of them and I think Herr Geist and Warren might be close by me too. Sorry poor taste but we walk past thousands every day, this concern on myspace has come about from a parent getting upset because of something her daughter has been getting up to and now blames myspace for her lack of parenting. It's a nice safe excuse to pass the blame.

I am listening to you Ruby, and we have both had an unwanted "admirer" So I am not trying to top your argument as it were, but I saw a day or two ago how undesirables tracked the postings on these sites. One young girl, who had posted the club that she would be attending found herself mugged and her identity stolen. Sometimes, even the the perverts seem less sinister.
Maybe you are right and I shouldn't be so cynical, but that episode with the obsessive has had a profound effect on me. |

people should be careful and not post where they are going unless theyre with alot of other people. especially young girls.
perhaps there should be 'internet safety' added to the school lessons
