i know how you feel,  i  lost a couple of stone last year and ive gone and put it all back on. i had accident at work and was off for months none of clothes fit me

got really sad and upset about it, and then i went for check up at the doctors and she had a go at me for putting on my weight. which made it worse.

so now ive decided i will lose weight i will get fit again, but i will do it slowly and at my pace cos i know i look fantastic what ever shape or size i may be. i will get there cos iam stubbon not to lol

i have a few exercise goals to keep to and i will increase them over time, but i do find it harder when doing things like this on my own.

I'm getting in shape. Right now the shape is sorta... round. But I'm doing what I can to remedy that.

Ha ha I've been going to the same gym as HG then! my swiss ball has been very lonely, I bought it with the best of intentions and now it's gathering dust.

xx

Well, I'm still running. I've been a bit lax with it which really pissed me off a bit, but at least now I understand exactly how easy it is to accidentally fall out of the routine. The first time I stopped working out and running, it was on purpose and it was after such a long time of keeping in shape. I had no idea what it was like to quit.

Now I understand what it's like to get started and it's a real bitch!

You have to keep your focus. You lose it for one second, give yourself ONE excuse, and you're out of the game indefinitely.

I know now that it is very hard to keep the momentum and I feel a little bad for looking down on others for the 15+ years that I was working out in some form every day.

It takes MONTHS to see results and build yourself into a solid routine. If you lose your focus before the 4th month, you're pretty much screwed.

why not go for a nice power walk every other day for the first week
then build yourself up to a slow jog same as above for the second week
then the third week faster still -
do the same distance each time for about a month then try going for a first lap of power walking for a warm up and then a jog.

dont work the same muscle groups for more than two days in a row as youll feel the burn on the second day and wont be able to move on the third!!

alternate between upper body and tummy one day then lower body the next but remember not to over do it - it also helps to train with a partner so you dont get bored working out by yourself and youve both got a goal to work towards!!

all you need is a good pair of trainers and a tin of beans for weights for the first month!!

nice and cheap!! easy on the pocket and great for your ego!!

but i totally understand how you feel i need to loose weight and tone up!! - i had two girls a while ago (18 months apart!) i put quite a bit of weight on whilst pregnant as before the girls i did lots of training as i was in the army so no excuse for me not to get it all back!!

i wish you all the very best!! as i hope youll wish me the same as i bloody well need it!!!!!

xxx
