Hi honey
we can have big chats about this on Sunday as I have been every color under the rainbow. At the moment I am shortish and white blond. It really depends if you have a dye on your hair now and if its permanent or semi. If its permanent a lot of good hair dressers will not try and bleach it up. I used to do my own but it is really bad for your hair. Also if you go really blond even if your hair is light underneath your routes look dark and you need to get them done every six weeks or it looks bad unless you have a punky hair cut.
Also its really worth buying an expensive shampoo and conditioner and some treatments to look after your hair.
Sorry this is sounding like a sermon.

I had similar thoughts recently, but thought it best to seek a professional opinion.
I am naturally a mousey brown, although currently red, which means they would have to strip the hair of the colour and then it could take up to 6 months to get the paltium blonde colour in and even then, it may not be right.
I spoke to the colourist on the creative team at Saks near where I work, who has been one of the only people who has managed to explain to me about how warm and cool tones work with different skin tone. Even though he knew what I wanted look and style wise, he advised me not to go blonde, but instead gave me some very good advice and options to look into.

I would suggest that you go along to a well known salon and get a consultation with the colourist there. They do them for free and there is no obligation to actually go back, what ever you decide to go with.

Anyway, hope there is something of use in all of that!

Wigs are also a good option when thinking of changing your hair sort of try before you buy.
