new hair colour?

Hi everyone,

i currently dye my hair black (due to being 26 and going grey already!) but need a change. does anyone have advice for 'lifting' dye off hair - as i want to go a reddy colour - the ends are black, but my roots are mousey and a bit grey in places.

thanks in advance!

i was fed up with my black too, so as the roots came through i dyed them a deep red.
i also put streaks through the top parts to 'join it up'
bleaching the black out then dyeing them red

but be careful, bleaching or high lift tinting black out takes ages and is very damaging on the hair

black is the very bottom most colour, so to take it up you have to bleach off layers and layers of colour. it makes the hair weak

so most people opt for highlights in a brown shade and over time more of your hair gets lifted, but its less damaging

depending on the length a salon may lift the whole colour for you.

my friend wanted her black out, she dyed the roots a semi permanent black as they came out until they were chin length then had her hair trimmed and the salon could lift her colour up to red easily.

good luck!

Rusk Elimin8, you have to get it from Sally's but it's worth it!  From black my hair went a gingery brown colour but kept the condition rather than turning to silly string as it has in the past with bleach  Embarassed .
