My poor nails!Advice needed! I used to have lovely long nails, the kind that grew super quick, and never broke. Then I got my current job. I now have stubby brittle nails.
I spend my day moving boxes and typing (in a very cold environment), my nails aren't even breaking across the nail, they're actually shattering at the ends, so I'll just be missing chunks of the tips.
It looks bad. I cut them all off a couple of weeks ago, hoping they might grow back a bit better. That's not worked.
Any idea on how to save them? They used to be my proudest feature.

Get some Lemony Flutter from Lush. That stuff is something I swear by. I used to work there, and discovered a couple of gems that I can't live without. It lasts for AGES (ignore the best before, it keeps about twice that length!) and softens and strengthens nails, and helps your cuticles too.

I've had this problem for about 13 years (damn, now I feel old!), due to the same things, intense cold and heavy boxes (don't ask ). It is so bad that my nails have not been 'whole' for a very long time - they are all split into at least two layers and are spilt so far past the white bit that they never grow whole.
If that Lush stuff can work it's magic on me there will be hope for everyone - will try some of that, great suggestion! Anyone got any other ideas? Have tried many brands of nail strengthener, but none can make them grow together?

I have a fabulous idea, come to Afternoon Beautea and I will reveal all, tee hee, shameless temptation.
I'm trying to put together a goody bag for everyone.

Goooooody baaaaaaaaag!!!! *gets excited*
I honestly find Lemony Flutter the best stuff after trying lots. I'm a musician, and a string player at that. My nails take a fair battering! Lemony Flutter is good for feet and knees and elbows too - makes them soft and lovely. AND its a nice lipbalm if you stick it in a little pot!
Lush products always have multiple uses!
