Maintaining a Betty fringe

My betty fringe was growing out....I attempted a mini trim myself but no....I'm not looking fab right now!

How often do you get your fringe done? Do you go to a vintage salon each time? Have you ever managed to explain how to trim it to a regular hairdresser? Do you do it yourself?

This is a really old post but just came across it! My Betty fringe is not the best because a. I have very fine hair, b. I have a cowslick and c. I'm a lazy mare.
However I get mine cut very short whenever it reaches my eyes for about £2 or £3 quid, did take much explanation but got there in the end. Does not need to be a vintage hairdresser just someone who knows what they are doing, do take a pic and explain if you want it curved or straight. Bernie Dexter pics are good reference.

I have it all sorted now.....you're right, its an old post. I have my hair done by Betty and she tells me to go back for a fringe trim every three weeks. Its free (as I would expect from fringe trims)
