LipcoteDoes anyone use Lipcote?
The last cople of times I've ended up with irritation on my lips which looks scarily like burns!
I've switched lipliner aswell, but can't imagine I'm allergic to that.
Are there alternatives?

Benefit do a thing called Shelaque which you can use on lips, eyelashes, eyemake up etc - pretty much anything to stop it sliding off!

I use Lipcote and apart from a slight tingle when I put it on I have never had any problems.

Possibly down to me not taking my make-up off before bed the last couple of times I used it... (don't tell Ruby)
I woke up with really sore lips

I've never had any problems with it, but I wasn't particularly impressed either.
I've foundthe best way to keep lipstick on is..
1- Put foundation on over lips
2- Use lip liner to line and colour in lip
3- Use a brush to apply lipstick
4- Blot
5- Use brush to apply lipstick again
At this point I either leave it, or dust some translucent powder over the top and apply a last layer of lippy
Bea > you've seen how much lipstick stays on the morning after a night out, so it definitely works

A friend told me there's a QVC version of lipcote which doesn't sting but I haven't seen it let alone tried it. If you could find it though, give it a try.

I love Shelaque, I bought it for me wedding last year and it kept my make up put with all the tears and everything in between! It's a God send and I've still got loads of it left

I thought it was just me. I always ended up with cold sores after I used it. As a consequence, I haven't had any for years.

I've managed to get lipcote to pass many tests including snogging in a jacuzzi!

My lips don't like lipcote either, my lips get very dry and sore, i have really sensitive skin though and even some toothpastes make my lips swell. I tend to use max factor lipfinity, that works really well. I used to use a revlon one i found in a random shop but they've stoppedc selling it now - i think it was a fall off a back of a lorry type thing, such a shame as it was great!
