Lip plumpersAnyone tried them and do they work? Any downsides?
I keep eyeing them up...

I haven't tried them myself, but from the feedback I've had from others you don't get a huge difference, so go and try a tester first before you splash out. Many products make wild claims, I particularly love the mascara adverts with their false eyelashes and computer enhanced images.

If you have full lips already they don't make much difference, but enough to be noticeable. I have pretty full lips and when i wear my Sexy Mother Pucker it definately makes them feel fuller! I agree that some of them don't do Jack, but try Sexy Mother Pucker. Its buzzy

I haven't tried anything that can be sold in places like Boots but I did buy something called 'Blowjob lips' (ahem ) It was cinammon flavour and worked wonders. I started wearing it out and about....made my lips all tingly too!

If you just rub cinnamon oil on your lips it will plump them up because it increases blood flow. I wouldn't use it while you were *ahem* doing things, its a bit strong for said parts!

I'm sorry to be a party pooper here, but I would strongly recommend that one avoids the application of neat essential oils at all costs, and particularly so in the case of Cinnamon.
Cinnamon Leaf - Cinnamomum Verum contains a high percentage of the phenol, eugenol (approx 80%), and Cinnamon Bark - Cinnamomum Zelanicum contains an aldehyde called cinnamaldehyde in almost equally high proportions. Both chemicals are hazardous in their own way if the oils are used in excess or incorrectly. It can be highly irritating on sensitive skin and should not be used in the early stages of pregnancy and used too regularly can be over stimulating on the nervous system.
Lecture over!

Okay, so Friday I tried some 'Too Faced' lip injection gloss stuff....
It worked! But it looks awful, smacked in the mouth awful...had to wipe it off...so, not gonna be getting any of that!
What I want is a primer, something to put under my MAC matt lipsticks...not some sludgy gloss to go over the top.
Will update in further experiments *G*

Ah...I perhaps shold have warned you against lip injection lol. I tried it and it made my already full lips ENORMOUS I looked like a fishy!
Benefit do something called Lip Plump thats a base/primer for lipstick. I have a tiiiiiiiny tube of it that I used once - it fills out your lips basically, doesn't really plump much but it might work for those with smaller lips than me??? Ask the benefit lady fora sample - they always give me samples of everything haha.

I love the Sexy Mother Pucker one - it smells like toffee and tingles just enough to make me wonder around pouting my face off, which I think is kind of the idea.
It's not too intense though - I tried the Lip Injection one and it was real strong, and as I'd put it all over my mouth not just in the dead centre I had a very unappealling red outline all round my lips as it had reacted to the skin around and affected that too - meant I could only wear red lipstick (not a bad thing, but I had done my eyes more dramatic thinking I would have natural-ish glossy, pouting lips) and ended up doing the photoshoot looking more drag-queen than sex bomb...
Ho hum, such is life

Yes!!! that's exactly what it did to me! Looked like I'd smeared red lipstick all over my face...not pretty and not pleasant. Will check out this other one, and not just cos it has an asskicking name!

I found Lip Plump too beige or rather, that it affected the colour of the lipstick. Maybe I just applied too much, greedy madam that I am
I bought some Sally Hansen from Boots but that changed the colour of my lipstick too. Will definitely give the Motherpucker a go, thanks

All I do is rub some chilli oil on my lips and watch them plump up a bit. This works no better or worse then lip plumpers you buy over the counter. It just works out cheaper. I use olive oil with chilli in it all the time for cooking anyway. Plus it really softens your lips too.
