Kitten wanted!Hello Peeps,I wondered if anyone has a cat who's perhaps just had kittens or is getting ready to have kittens? As many of you know, my dear cat died in December after we discovered colon cancer, but now I'm ready for a new bundle of fur in my life! You never know maybe I could train the new kitten to pull the lacing in a corset for a routine! Anyhow if anyone knows of kittens please PM me. thanks Rose x

have you thought about rescue shelters?...i know from experience they always have cats and kittens in need of a home...especially black ones, which nobody wants  ...try Battersea Cats and Dogs, RSPCA etc

I can never get my head around why some people don't like black cats and dogs... they are always the last to be rehomed in shelters for some reason. Personally, if I were to adopt a cat.. I'd love a black one!
A friend of ours has a cat who just had kittens some months ago... if any of their cats get preggers I'll let you know.

I know, me too! That may just be my goth side speaking up though lol I adore black cats, especially as it means less visible cat hairs all over my clothes! |

I didn't know that! My lovely ladies are black and, now I come to think of it - they were the last kitties from their litter to be rehomed! I just thought it was fate becasue they're the most loving, beautiful cats in the world.

aw thats a shame, princess kaytie-leigh only just had a bunch of kittens to home!
if the cats protection league get a bit fussy (especially if you don't have a garden) theres other cat homing places. like this one in brighton http://www.lostcatsbrighton.org.uk/html/cats_needing_a_home.html they prefer to drop their re-homed cats off to have a quick look at the premises. but you might be able to find one like this closer to home? check links of all cat charities, thats how i found these guys xxx |

thank you all for your lovely messages.
My cat, the lovely Chicken was black, so I don't want to get another black cat. It just wouldn't be fair as Chicken was so perfect that another black cat would be a constant reminder. Ooh, well on with the search. I'll get in touch with a few more chartieis, but they kept telling me that kittens had to be rehomed in pairs. How unfair is that! I'll let you know if the situation changes, love Rose x |

yeah they'll say that alot.
i can see their point, but as long as you give the kitten enough love then surely its still homing an animal? why not try a young cat? like a 6 month - 1 yr old as they're still playful and often small xxx |

Some are more fussy than others, I would try a more independant charity like the one BB suggested. | ||

In the pet shops around here there are always "kittens free to good home" type adverts. These are usually from when people haven't had their cats spayed soon enough and they go off on a little *cough* adventure *cough*. They need loving homes!
You could try putting an ad in the local paper too - lots of people need to find homes for pets after all. xxx |

Has anyone noticed that Pets At Home now have an adoption centre for rehoming pets? It was hard enough not buying lots of animals before but when I saw that I couldn't resist. I only went in for sawdust and came out with Rosie Van Gerbil. | ||

She came from Wembley, a woman called me after I'd put an advert in loot saying cat wanted. She was really nice, collected me and Mr Thorne from the station, took us to her house, introduced her to mum cat and big brother.
She's quite settled now and tearing the sofa to shreds!!! Rose x |
