hello from the river thames.

hello there, i am new here but just wanted to say how wonderfull and helpfull berlesque is.

i work on the river thames now on boats and although it seems a nice place to work it can be very stressfull, with engines that wont start or break down, floating trees to wreck your boat and paint jobs that seem take forever and can f**k up and are messy and boring.

well i met a new boat skipper on the thames a few weeks ago and i have teamed up with his team on his boats, and he is a burlesque artist performer/compere, so he has been putting me on the guest lists of some of his burlesque evenings.

it is such a great way to unwind after a hard or rotten day,
and now when i am doing a dififcult paint job on a boat instead of getting frustrated i find myself humming the tune of "hey, big spender!"

and feeling cheerfull and thinking of all the wonderfull people i have met the nights before at berlesque nights.

so thank you to all the artists and berlesque workers out there, and you might not know how much of a helpfull and important job you do.

nice one,

Hey honey!

Perhaps our paths will cross one day as I work in London right near the river on the southbank!

Anyway enjoy your stay here!

thank you miss candy and khandie kisses,

i have been persuaded to do a little act myself and go up for auditions. i can't say too much now but i have been given permission to borrow and develop a famous character my friend created in 2002, and have been buying my props today and and still perfecting the rough script/jokes for my act.

it should be good, i am letting it be created organicly over time and writing notes, script dialogue and ideas in a little notebook i carry about with me. i cracked up laughing the other day whilst writing notes the other day on a tube train going home.

i want it to be as good as it can be, as i dont want to let the berlesque scene down.

i think people will like it. it is a bit of a riot.

so the chances of our paths crossing are getting greater.  Smile

i hope all is going well for all of you.

cheers,
rex. x
