Heels with no strap- help!

Hey lovelies! I recently purchased a pair of court style shoes, and they are my first pair with no strap at all, ie they just slip on. Trouble is, although they seem to fit perfectly and are not too big or anything, the heels flop of when I walk. I nearly lost a shoe while crossing the road! Is there some trick to avoid this (glueing them to me feet perchance....?) Any tips would be appreciated.

Have you ever tried those stick-in grips for the back of your heel? I used to wear a little pair of pumps that flipped off sometimes.. and those little grips were fab!

These are what I'm talking about.....

Hiya girlie, you can get those heel grip things at superdrug in town. If that doesn't work bring them to me and i'll sew a strap on for you if you like, i can do ribbon, elastic or any other material i can get my hands on at abakhans. Bxx

I tie pretty ribbons round them.....

I just had a go at my sandals without the strap done up tried various things.

The result is this - a non permanant solution! Get a pretty ribbon (mine was quite wide) and loop it under the arch next to the heel, bring it behind your heel and cross the ribbon over. Following me ok? Go round the front of your leg, then bring the ribbon under the arch. Cross the ribbon over and take it round the back of the shoe heel, cross it over again, then bring it up to the front of your leg. Cross over again and tie at the back.

Phew! I hope you could follow that. Let me know if you can't and I'll have another go!!!!

If you do it right it looks pretty!!! Big silky bow at the back of your feet. You can obviously tie it at the side or front if you would rather. Just another option if you don't want to attach anything.

I thought about that actually, would you be able to sew thru the thick leather? Big fat needle maybe?

Ribbons are great for on stage is you want to make sure your stiletoes are not going to slip out of place.
