dress making dummyHi all
well I am thinking of getting a dress making dummy with my birthday money does anyone have any recommendations or pitfalls I should look out for.
People say you don't need them but I am feed up braking my back over things that look right in the mirror when they are pinned only to find out I have sawed it in the wrong place after hours of work.
So any help here would be great
Thanks

The problem with most dressforms is that they are not realistic in their shape - no bum and boobs just seem to slope down into the waist. Mine is currently wearing a stuffed bra and wadding on the bum and tum
If you are going to buy one, make sure that it has as many points of adjustment as possible and and preferably and eight part body like these:

Or, you could do what ive been thinking of, and make one using this site:

Hope this helps
