Do they still make wash-in, wash out hair dyes?

I fancy going a darker brown but am a bit scared of committing for 12 weeks. My lodger says she has a semi-permanent I could use but I would like to play it safe first. I had quite a few hair dye disasters in my teens and I haven't coloured my hair since I was at uni!

I do believe these products are still available I haven't paid much attention the last few years as I need the heavy duty stuff to hide the grey!

I used to work in superdrug (handy that was) and they had those wash-in wash-out hair dye in these triangular packaging on the top shelves in the hair dye area. Hopefully that would make finding them a lot easier.

Thanks, I'll go and have a look tomorrow Smile

I went to Boots today & got some Clairol nice n' easy stuff...

I nearly bought the Shaders & Toners one but it was only a sachet and I didn't think it would do much. This one says it lasts 6-8 shampoos but it says its recommended for dark brown to black hair(!) But the colour is dark brown anyway so I guess its for people looking for a natural colour rather than a change.

It says - if you choose a shade that is darker than your natural hair colour it may take longer than 6-8 shampoos to wash out  Confused

I was a bit worried at first but the colour isn't bad Smile

I used the shaders and toners to get an idea of colours and then went on to one of the 6-8 wash types. I actually really liked the shaders and toners! It really brought out my natural gingerness so I was really pleased! xxx

Cool, I was after a change of colour rather than just accentuating tones. I'm quite happy with how it's turned out, not too dramatic but you can see the difference Smile
