Day hairHow do you wear your hair? I use scarves and flowers, and have a betty fringe, but dont actually style my hair very often.
I have tried looking at victory roll tutorials but so far havent cracked them!
I tried a poor version of pin curls, which was marginlly good and taming my hair.
So...how do you wear you hair day to day?

My day to day hair is pretty dull, i have a bob so tend just to wear it as such, or with a big boof quiff at the front. I like also to do one victory roll and then smush it sideways. I never could do them until Crimson Skye's mum did one for me then after watching her i could manage it!
I'd love to do something more with my hair though, just a bit lazy i think!

Nearly always set with my heated rollers, but at the very least a riot of barrel curls or victory rolls, although I will be trying out my new range of snoods soon. I've been crocheting like a demon!!!

Oh Ruby they would look so cute! crocheting might be something I should learn, though if it's anything like knitting. It will be a disaster for me because I could be halfway through a stitch and forget what I was doing, sewing is much more forgiving than knitting.
I wear my hair in various styles which vary in effort and time depending on what mood I am in. (I'm always late for a reason, mainly hair) I despise my hair left on it's own; scarves, headband, turban (my recent favourite), quiffs, more fancy hair-do's, victory rolls, beehives, french plaits.

Crochet is much more forgiving than knitting, and snoods rock. Here's one I crocheted earlier:
(Photo taken this weekend at the Secret Nuclear Bunker, which, I have to add, is AWESOME!)

I normally just tie it back in a bun, the same way I have for the past 5 years.
If I have a bit more time to spare though I will put it up in a roll/pompadour (sic). It makes me feel better when it's up, and I mastered the art of doing it in ten minutes but then got lazy.

Ok I've looked everywhere but I can't find anything that will teach me how to crochet a snood (though I found lots that ntaught me how to make tops, blankets and scarves!) Where did you learn to crochet a snood Ruby?

I really need to start making an effort with my hair. Unless I'm going out I tend to just drag a brush through it and go, or tie it back in a low pony tail if it's a windy day. I'm such a slob.
Suggestings for quick hairstyles anyone (as in, like 5 minutes)?

I need to make more of an effort with mine too. I have to have it tied back in a ponytail at work, and usually I just scrape my fringe back with a headband because it has a mind of its own and will usually be sticking straight up in the air on a morning and I can never be bothered to tame it!
My boyfriend has been complaining because he paid for my last hair cut!

If my best friend wasn't a hair dresser I probably wouldn't ever have hair cuts. Up to a couple of years ago my hair was about waist length and I'd occasionally hack of an inch of so myself when my split ends got too unruly. That all stopped when I'd dyed it so much it was nearly dead and I had to have it chopped to shoulder length.

Just a pony tail or bun for day to day. Keep meaning to try something more fancy but seem to run out of time...

since i work in a call centre i dont tend to have much reason to make mine look amazing but i do like to!
when i dont have dirty great roots i like to tie it back in a cute bouncy ponytail and add a ribbon with maybe an icecream style curl or a pomp.
I recently started putting the front of my hair in a big loop which looks like a bit of a bettie fringe.
when i go out i love to do my cheats victory rolls.. its great! i dont actually roll a tube of hair, i backcomb the side and smooth hair over it putting a curl at the front! it gives the illusion of a full tube of hair!
I am not very good at setting my hair at all.. i need to master this and i have had a glance at a book on vintage hairstyling i just cant remember what its called!
