colour choice narrowed downokay so after finally deciding not to go blond cos my skin is too strange a colour, i've narrowed down the choices to the following...
apologies for the bad photoshopping, but i think it helps me...
other considerations are
i tend to wear a lot of black, simply because its what i seem to have collected but i don't want to look gothy in the slightest
so ladies and gents, which should i go for??
purple
red
blue
or keep the dark hair... again...

Well its kind of hard to tell as you have painted them on grey scale images so we can't see your skin tone but i would say red as you are a passionate woman and it would suite your personality.

My hair's always been dark and when I was finally brave enough to go to the hairdressers to go bright red, they told me that the colour wouldn't lift enough in my hair due to it being dyed before
I like the red and the purple though, as Diva said, it's a bit hard to tell without seeing your skin tone.

Eh?
My hair's almost black naturally, and has been dyed every colour under the sun. But mainly goes between blue-black and bright red. Never been a problem for me *shrugs*

They said that because my hair's in such a bad state the colour wouldn't lift properly, it went kind of a weird orange type colour when they put the pre lightener on doing the strand test... so the red would just end up a dull red, plus the ends are a different colour to the rest of my hair too.
If anyone knows a good way for me to dye my hair red, then suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

I have mid brown hair with a hint of red naturally and it has never taken to bleaching well sadly. At two seperate hairdressers I have had hair breakage after highlighting, so am not doing that again! I really wanted my hair a proper dark blue/blue-black but when I finally got round to trying it, it pretty much came out black-black. Not a happy lady
I vote for purple as it'll make you stand out more. It was between that and the red looking at the pics, and red is quite popular
You'll look fab either way

hairdressers wont risk it; they're scared of getting sued.
get a hair wise friend to do it. or a crazy hair salon.
blue and purple are the hardest colours to keep; they naturally just dont stick and fade out very quickly to grey tones.
keep that in mind.
red shades are the colours that stick most. red/pink shades.
they grip the hair well, especially on lightened hair, and stay longer.
but can wash out to ginger.
so!
hehe
whatever you find most easy ;p

Also everything in your house goes red like pillow cases shower caps and your shower bath the grout round the bath will turn pink ect.....
I think I prefer how red fades out rather than blue
I had to sign a form saying I would not sue the hairdresser if my hair fell out when I went from red to blond as they had used so much bleach in getting my hair bright red. I ended up with really short hair but it was a good color.
