Boring hair help

I tend to put my hair into a ponytail and then attach a hairpiece when I perform as it is simple, but the bit covering my head looks a bit boring as it is just flat. Any suggestions?

Does that mean I am beyond help?

Hello me dear! I am pants with hair but I shall try! What length is your hair? And are you looking for styles for during the day time or for performing? xxx

I have hair to my neck at the back and past my shoulders at the front. It's when I am performing I look at the photos and they are always just a bit meh when it comes to hair

I have similar problem with my hair because it's pretty long and thick and hard to do stuff with because it doesn't help. I find putting curlers into greasy hair adds a bit of volume to it or I give myself a big quiffy style fringe to add a bit of height and make it stand out.
Do you always use a hairpiece? I like putting my hair half up half down and making the 'up' bit into a either a messy bun or section it and twist it until it takes you to your head (I hope that makes sense!!) and pin it in.
I'll try have a think, sorry it's not very useful!

Yeah I would have said a bit of a quiff. Smile

maybe putting random plaits through it as well with little sparkly beads on
peekaboo bangs

oh god im crap at hair up too, i always have it down so i can shake it about or wear a wig!

my days of hairpieces are over, too much fiddle.

but try curling your hair, as shorter hair holds a curl well and gives instant volume!

OOOh thank you everyone! I hadn't thought to have a look at youtube.

I've now made my hair somewhat more interesting by getting it properly dyed bright red, but gonna have a play at doing those roses tho!

Thank you

I like to use hairpieces. For a Candybox I smoothed my hair into a mid to low pontail and pinned it to the top of my head. The I attached the hairpiece (a short ponytail) to my pontail on the back of my head. I let my real hair fall back over the fake then pinned it all under to make a huge bun. A variation on this is to do a 60's style side parting.

Another time I used all of my real hair to make a bumper bang (no foundation to hand) and stuck in the fake ponytail to make it look more real
