A poorly witchTry as I might, I just can't help but feel pissed off.
I broke my thumb a couple of months ago and the healing is taking forever. I am so worried that it will jeopardise my chances of dancing on the forthcoming cruises. And to make matters worse, hubby gave me a bollocking (gentle one) about over doing the physio. "You can't speed the healing process," he said, "so don't overdo it, in case you cause permanent damage."
Aunt Bettie, what can I do?

Your husband is giving good advice. The body is more fragile than you think. Especially your digits. Do as the doctor told you to do and no more, no less.
Other than that... find a hobby?

Hi honey
stress can slow down the healing so relax and you will be fine, I am sure by the time the cruses come along you will be healed up. Take some time to pamper yourself always makes me feel better.

Dear Broomy
Oh dearie..hubby is quite right as you know, so listen well - since overdoing the physio will not do you any favours.. that little digit needs equal amounts of respite as well as doing it's little press-ups to make it strong again.
You need to focus your attention elsewhere and think a little less about the 'what-if's with regards to dancing/cruises and thumb issues. Turn your witchy attentions elsewhere, take up a new hobby, maybe do some yoga and work hard at maintaining your physical fitness so that you're fine and dandy when 'cruise time comes around'.
And of course.. being the magical lady that you are - you should have no trouble doing lots of lovely witchy creative visualisation, 'seeing yourself twirling under the glitterballs and lights on that big boat' without any pain or discomfort from little Tom Thumb.
Keep your besom up dear.. it'll all sort itself out.

Thank you all, good advice I know, and I am keeping occupied making costumes, and some baby clothes for a new mum that I know. You have all made me feel so much better, many thanks. xx
