1950's hair?

I am wearing a vintage dress next weekend that I think is 1950's (not 100% sure)

Can anyone recomend a 1950's style that is simple and easy to do? (I'll have about 30 mins to get ready!)

50's hair was generally shorter and less siren-ish than the forties - it looks like you have shoulder length hair - if you don't want to do the Marilyn wave and don't have time for the Audrey breakfast at t's behive (surprisingly easy to do) then I would go for a roll across the back of your hair at the bottom.

Take a rat (hair not real - unless ... never mind) brush your hair back over your shoulders and start to roll the hair upwards around the rat. When you get to the nape of the neck pin in place and spray with hairspray and you have a shorter 50's inspired look. I you have a fringe then i'd put a few kiss curls in to either side of your parting.

If it would work with the dress then a pony tail is v 50s if not then see how fast you can do a behive - or put it in earlier and just freshen it while you change.

This video here is a good "how to" http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=mVoxsRmZrC8

Good luck and have fun xx
