My mum was so distraught at the sight of my dry hair she gave me a 3 minute hair mask. I'm using the Boots Botanics but I accidentally discovered covering your hair in it first before jumping into the shower before washing you hair as normal gives it an actual boost of moisture. (I dare say, it works better than the original instructions.) Hope this helps.

I think it's something to do with the heat, as they often reccomend wrapping your hair in a warm towel while it's on.

I sometimes leave conditioner in overnight, or in the ends during the day if my hair's tied up.

Massage olive oil in and leave it for about twenty minutes, then rinse - makes hair stronger, although I've never tried it on my scalp, just the mid-length to ends.  This is really bad of me because I work for one of the shops, but Lush does some intensive hair treatments that rock - H'suan Wen Hua is meant to moisturise and strengthen hair and prevent split ends, and I *swear* by it.
