Sorry, I know people have far worse problems and have had a worse week than me. I was being completely selfish.

Just because other people have problems that might be worse, it doesn't mean that the problems you have aren't making your life difficult. You're not going to seem like a bitch for complaining about something small when someone else is having a very, very hard time.
As the Dread Pirate Roberts once said, "Life is pain, Highness. Anyone who says differently is selling something."
If you need advice or perspective on something, please don't think you're being silly. Let us know! _________________ Sic gorgiamus allos subjectatos nunc.

i didnt read your previous post, but you obviously needed to share things and get so wise words from the wonderful people here.
i think thats one of the reasons why i come here everyday, i consider you all my friends, even though ive only met a few of the members.
we cant all have happy days, and obviously im going through poop at the moment, but that dont mean i have the monopoly on it,
a problem shared is a problem halved, and good news is doubled when you pass it on,
big hugs to you xxx _________________ " Lovebubbles residence, lady of the house speaking" |

Thanks guys, but in the grand scheme of things me being made redundant is not althogether as bad as some of the stuff people are going through right now, just got to get myself sorted, hence me being up stupidly early when I donlt have to be off on the job hunt, a negative attitude never got annyone anywhere did it?
Off to sign my agrrment lette and pick up my cheque todaya dn hopefully I'll get something in the next few weeks, even if it's temping for a while, unless one of you lovely ladies wants to employ me as a PA do you
I just felty like a bit of a pleb moaning really. xx |

I missed your original post, but as others have said, you shouldn't feel bad about anything you posted. A man who has had one leg amputated has not lost any less because the man next to him had both removed!
I gather you were made redundant. You have every right to be upset by that, especially in the current economic climate. I don't think that there's anyone amongst us who wouldn't be. But you are a bright and promising young woman and I am sure you will find something else soon.
In the meantime, never be sorry that sometimes you need to vent or ask for a little support. Not doing so can have disasterous consequences - you can take my word for it on that one.

I didn't read your original post (haven't been on in a while, 164 posts to read! eeeek!) but don't feel bad for feeling bad, you'll just end up in a complete downward spiral of negative thoughts.
Someone mentioned redundancy, I'm at work at the mo' and there are a lot of meetings and whispers of redundancy going on, I think I'm a likely candidate as I haven't been here too long (got made redundant from last job too, I hope this isn't going to be a life meme for me!) so I'm a bit fuzzy headed right now too.
Do the things that make you happy, try to stay positive and assualt anyone and everyone with your CV! |

Keep your chin up - if you are a PA - you will certainly find something fairly soon.
I moved to a new job back in July - I thought it was going to be the answer to everything - but the guy I went to work for was a complete as*hole, and he really disliked me. After a month he said he didn't want a PA after all and there I was with no job. I was gutted and really hit rock bottom emotionally, but with the support of the lovely people on here, my friends and my other half, I pulled through okay - but at the time it was v hard.
I was out of work for 2 weeks - and in the end I was inundated with job offers. Good PAs are very hard to come by, so keep going, and it won't be long before something turns up for you.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Big hugs x
