Ok, so, with 6 weeks to go to my wedding my Chief attendant and also coincidentally my hairdresser has told me he's only just tried to book the day off work (he's known for 12 months) and has been told someone else has got the day booked. Obviously I'm really upset for a whole load of reasons and a whole load of other problems have cropped up because of this.

Anyways, I'm hoping you lovely folks can help me with one of them. I have no hairdresser. I also can't afford to pay one anyways, my best friend was going to do it for me as a wedding gift. I'm hopeless with hair but it looks like I'm going it alone. So, I have shoulder length hair. A tiara and a veil. And I want an updo. Can anyone please recommend any styles that even an idiot can manage that will work with my accessories. I'm probably going to need handy dandy online tutorials and whatnot.

Have spent the last two days in a right state. Any advice would be so very gratefully received.

What about a nice simple bun at the nape of your neck with some curly bits at the front to frame your face or something?

They're easy to do and in my opinion look beautiful (but I'm a ballet dancer, I'm slightly biased). And if you're not getting as full of a bun as you'd like, you could always use a 'doughnut' made out of a pair of tights, then clip your hair around it, covering the doughnut. Which would also make it bigger so slightly less simple and a bit more showy sort of thing
