I know it's really bad form to advertise one message forum on another, especially when you aren't an active member, and I haven't been active on here in a long time. So I apologise in advance and hope the wonderful Ruby will forgive me.

Basically, after much thought, I've set up a message forum for people to use who are struggling with anything from depression to eating disorders to self harm, no matter where they are in the recovery spectrum. Whether they are recovered and want to offer advice and support to those who aren't, or if they are struggling to recover and need somewhere supportive.
It's obviously not pro-ana or anything along those lines, but it's also not judgemental against people who aren't ready to start recovery. What I hope is that it will provide a safe place for people to begin recovery.

It's a locked forum, so you can post your more private thoughts safely there. I know I needed somewhere to go as I've struggled with self harm and depression for years now, and I really value having a safe community to go to when I need to talk about the bad times (and the good).

I believe I can speak on Ruby's behalf here when I say that there is absolutely no way we'd be upset at you for posting a link to a forum which might help people with mental and emotional problems. I think it's a good thing and I hope the people who visit the Auntie Bettie section take note of it if they really do feel they need a level of help that this forum cannot provide.
