That sucks a lot but I'd like to comfort you that it could have been much worse. At least you haven't been dating someone for 2 months and you can't dump them because you can't get hold of them for over a week.  Mad

Those types of dating scenarios are always so weird. It's odd to want to end a date with a handshake haha. Sometimes the spark just never comes. But, if you two felt the same way and it was an easy break, maybe you could still hang out now and then as friends. Doesn't really seem like anyone's feelings got hurt. Although, I think you deserved more than a text. That's just respect. Always do it face to face, I don't care how easy or hard it will be for you.

Jesus, you girls do NOT play around when it comes to shoes! I hope girls don't rate me by my shoes or they're just shit out of luck. Catch me in anything besides jump boots or Chuck Taylor's and you'll probably be looking at me in my coffin. I don't care. They're comfortable and well-shined boots work very well with a suit. I know this from experience.

Seriously HG, you do not know the half of it when it comes to our strange-yet-important foibles.  I noticed Mr Fur Laxis a week before I actually chatted him up, but I didn't speak to him on that occasion because I didn't like the neckline of his top.  Thank god he nailed it with his entire outfit the following week.

xx

Haha, no, I was aware. It's just not often that you hear a woman admit it in public. I guess it was just sort of a shocking reminder.

But, you see, that's why I don't dress to impress. I don't want some girl to take a liking to me and then see me the next day in a t-shirt and think "Maybe this was a mistake." haha.

Granted, I dress nice when I go to the appropriate events, but even then I still make the outfit my own.

God Simon was a sweaty drunken mess when i met him, if he had been wearing socks with sandals however I might still be a single lady....

Kat, I hope you get everything sorted hun  Confused

I'm taking it as a lesson to actually trust my instincts from now on  - they do usually turn out to be right, even though I always doubt my own judgement.

Flatmate has helpfully been waving the book she's just bought under my nose... "He's just not into you" (now appearing as a dubious girly-film). As much as I hate to admit it, there's quite a bit of sense in it.

Greg Behrendt is a smart guy but please remember that he's just a comedian. Comedians do perceive day to day life in a special way, but don't take it as gospel.

I once went on a date with a man who wore what can only be described as white winkle picker type shoes. I ran away half way through the date into the arms of a man who was wearing nice trainers and didn't have an orange bottle tan.
