My first attempt at making a hat.

It might not hold up to close scrutiny, but I like it anyway. Going to attempt to make another one this weekend in a different material.

Good heavens above, what a talented lady you are, I feel some commissions coming your way.

Kitty, you are clever. My friend recently sent me a pattern to make a little tiny Fascinator top hat... I'm desperate to have a go, but being terribly untechnical, just can't make head nor tail of the darned pattern.

If I have any success, I shall post it on here at some point.

I'm going to be rather cheeky but you could always post the instructions on here and we could have a whole top hat design thread, and show off our wares, maybe have a competition where the winner gets a makeover.

Haha, not till I've got a bit better at it methinks Smile

I like the idea of a competition Ruby, would be fun, especially if we had themes for it.

Kitty that is great! I want a little tiny pill box for the top of my head - where did you get the pattern? And can you alter it for little peanut heads? Embarassed

It wasn't a pattern. If I get time I'll write out how I did it with pictures for you.

Ruby, I have absolutely no problem sending you the instructions. I shall dig them out and scan them, then send them over to you via email.

hopefully, you'll crack it and then we can all have a go. Thing is with me, I can do it if I'm shown, but when it comes deciphering instructions, I get all fizzy and fluffy and my brain stops working Embarassed
