*squeals* my mother friend is visting and he has brought camp coffee! Methinks how retro! we had it with milk so it like iced coffee it was nice btu a bit strong and VERY sweet. has any one else tried it and what did they think and how did they use it?

Those were the days......thats what my mum use to buy when i was a wee nipper!!!! Laughing

I buy it occasionally, its nice cos it has chicory and i dont like things with lots of caffeine in..

Hi

Its almost a coffee substitute...doesnt have much coffee in its made with chicory and i think 1% coffee and its quite sweet , not keen on sweet really buts its nice, its like thick syrup in a bottle with "CampCoffee" written on it!

You can come over anytime...we always see you walking this way along road!!! So yes we can drink ice/hot camp coffee and fairy cakes just say when ever you want?

I used to have a tearoom and used Camp to make iced coffee, with lots of whipped cream on the top.
Its also good for flavouring in coffee and walnut cake and coffee icing too.

My Mum still has this in her cupboard and you have instantly transported me back to camp coffee milks shakes with bendy straws when I was younger . Gawd did I think I was sophisticated.

I always drank my milk (this is when we got a free bottle at school) so the humphries never got it. Wink

Maybe it's what's kept us looking so young Miss Minx Very Happy

All supermarkets have it - probably more expensive in Waitrose too....I love Waitrose but dont buy things i can buy else where in there...Sainsbury have it..

Ohhh just seen this thread!

I have seen camp coffee in the supermarket but have never been sure what to do with it.

so do you just mix it with boiling water like you could with coffee granules then add milk? I like the sound of camp coffee with cold milk like a frappe...hmmm... might have to buy some and experiment!
