Dearest Ladies,

I am putting together the menu for Afternoon Beautea and I would like to know what kind of cake demands/needs you have!

I personally am a big fan of chocolate torte, so that is going to be on the menu whether you like it or not, but what other cakes are a big hit.

Let me know your favourites, as I have found a wonderful little place that can cater to our requests.

You are under starters orders, 3.... 2.... 1......

Ruby

Good grief!

It doesn't take you lot long to reply to a post on cake does it!?

If only tax returns came with the offer of free cake for a fast reply, the tax man would be bowled over with speedy responses.

That said, nice ideas ladies, well done. Your wish is my command.

Could I please request something dairy free because I'm lactose intollerant Sad

I could always make a vegan torte or some such nonsense with soya if anyone would share it with me?

Oh gosh, I should have remembered to mention that its only COWS milk I can't have! My boyfriend just reminded me that dairy is more than just cows milk.

I'm fine with goats/sheep milk and eggs and all that jazz. Just cows!

Ha ha Sadie that has tickled me!! It's just the cows!! Sounds like they are out to get you!!

I was told I was lactose intolerant a few years ago and it's everything, ewes, cows, goats, everything it was horrid. Wasn't allowed chocolate, crisps, processed meat, cheese, pastry... I think you get the idea. Then I just got bored and stopped caring. I may be slightly healthier if I made the effort but I am lazy and can't afford it!! Oh well!!

Ever since I was a baby cows milk made me very colic-prone and I would get really awful belly ache. My vice is cheese. I love cheese! I just eat really dark chocolate - Green and Blacks Maya Gold is my absolute favourite!

PS - The cows ARE out to get me!

Ohhhhh lovely cakes... they all sound fab, although I do have a terrible thing about bakewell tarts, caramel slices, cheesecakes, chocolate and CREAM.. If it's got cream in it, I'll eat it. HOORAH! Laughing
